Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Student Affairs, higher education administration or closely related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Minimum one year experience developing, implementing and coordinating educational or other related programs.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and occasional weekends.
  • Experience working with a diverse student population.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of personal computers and related software and its application to record keeping and orientation processes.
  • Experience working in a university orientation office and in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.

Desired Qualifications All Qualifications

Unless otherwise required by an applicable collective bargaining agreement, all minimum, additional and desired qualifications are preferred, but qualifications, degrees, and/or experience deemed comparable and/or equivalent by Oakland University in its sole and exclusive discretion may be considered.

Position Details Position Purpose

Coordinate and facilitate new student orientation, new student programs, and other academic and social integration programs designed to support successful transition and retention of new students at Oakland University.
