About the Role:
Plugz Electric ? Airz Heating and Cooling is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Dispatcher & Permit Coordinator to join our growing team in Forest Lake, MN! This is a dynamic, fast-paced role where you'll play a key part in keeping our electrical crews running smoothly and our projects moving forward. Responsibilities:
- Assist in dispatching electricians and field crews to job sites in an efficient and timely manner
- Coordinate and submit electrical permits with local municipalities and jurisdictions
- Track permit statuses and ensure all required approvals are obtained before work begins
- Communicate with field technicians, project managers, and customers to relay scheduling updates
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, permits, and dispatch logs
- Answer incoming calls and assist with customer scheduling and inquiries
- Support the operations team with administrative tasks and workflow coordination
Requirements:
- Prior experience in dispatching, permit coordination, or construction administration preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with computers, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with electrical or construction permitting processes is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing schedules
- Professional, team-oriented attitude with strong attention to detail
