Pay Range: $27 - $32/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed design drawings, specifications, and material lists for overhead and underground electric distribution projects.
• Perform engineering calculations such as structural analysis of poles, conductor sizing, voltage drop, and transformer sizing.
• Ensure all designs adhere to client standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements including the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC).
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to meet project objectives and deadlines.
• Prepare and submit permit applications to various agencies.
• Process information collected during site visits to gather information and verify field conditions to be used for design activities.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase, addressing any design-related issues that may arise.
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously, from initial assignment to completion.

• Must Have Skills: Minimum 3 years of experience with power distribution design within electric utility scope.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and GIS applications, with a solid understanding of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and other applicable utility industry standards..
• Min completed Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering technology, drafting, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in electric utility distribution design.
• Must have distribution experience.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, GIS software, and other design tools.
• Strong knowledge of electric distribution infrastructure and construction techniques.
• Familiarity with NESC and other relevant industry standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in both a team environment and independently.
