Assistant Dockmaster

Location: Lebanon, TN 37087

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Assistant Dockmaster to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the dock appearance and surrounding grounds, supervising dock hands, and supporting the overall operations of the dock area. This position requires strong people skills and the ability to work directly with customers and guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the appearance of the dock and surrounding grounds to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
  • Supervise dock hands who report directly to the Assistant Dockmaster.
  • Report to the General Manager (GM) and assist with communication and operational tasks as needed.
  • Assist dock hands on the fuel dock and with rental boats.
  • Help with various maintenance tasks and resort projects as assigned.
  • Interact professionally and courteously with customers and guests, addressing their needs and concerns.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays during peak season.
  • Good people skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers, guests, and team members.
  • Knowledge of boating and the surrounding lake area is a plus.
  • Experience in supervising or leading a team is preferred.
