As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll report directly to your Project Manager in a client‑facing role that requires building strong relationships both in and outside the office. You'll develop through hands‑on experience, peer collaboration, and ongoing technical training.Essential Job FunctionsAssist in estimating project scope and costsManage project expectations and execution of subcontractorsMaintaining project documentationTracking project expenses and budgetPreparing reportsCommunicate with clients and subcontractorsAttend and actively participate in project coordination and owner/contractor/architect/engineer meetings as requested or required.Research and preparation of change requests to resolve design issues for approvalResearch and recommend solutions to design document problems, including conflicts, interferences, and errors/omissionsMonitor field work and/or contract work to ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, specifications, and codesAssist with the submittal and RFI processesAssist in the early completion and tracking of billingEducation & ExperienceREQUIRED2+ years as an Assistant Project Manager over commercial electrical workAble to work independently as well as in a team environmentStrong computer skills and quick to learn new systemsCommitment to continuous improvement of communication, organization and leadership skillsEffective scheduling and delegation to accomplish tasks on timeTactful conflict resolution and problem‑solving abilitiesApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time basis without employer sponsorship.
