The position entails performing civil technical analyses, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, preparing designs, drafting construction plans, and preparing construction specifications as well as project scheduling, site inspections, construction cost estimating and construction assistance.This is a staffed, hourly, non-exempt position.A day in the life as a Wood Rodgers' Assistant EngineerPerforming as a member of an interdisciplinary design team managed by a Senior Level Project Engineer.Field review of project sites to develop designs for new or rehabilitated facilities.Preparing technical analyses and engineering designs for a wide array of projects in both the Private and Public sectors.AutoCAD Drafting and GIS Exhibit Developmen.tConstruction coordination/inspection/documents review.Qualifications & SkillsStrong ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and collaborate within a team setting.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.0 to 3 years of relevant experience, with a solid understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and methods.E.I.T certification or ability to obtain it within 6 months is required.Possession of a valid driver's license.Hands-on experience with GIS and a solid working knowledge of its applications.Engagement in industry-related professional organizations.A note on hourly pay rangesThe range does not reflect geographic variations and may fluctuate above or below the stated amount. Offers will be based on several factors, including experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, training, and location. Base pay is just one part of the comprehensive compensation package offered by Wood Rodgers.
