ASSISTANT ENGINEERING MANAGER NEEDED - JONESVILLE, MICHIGAN
A Leading Automotive Supplier near Jonesville, Michigan needs a 1st Shift Assistant Engineering Manager. Metal Stamping Expertise and previous Manufacturing Engineering Experience is Required. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is Needed. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Typically helps manage and lead up to to 15 Engineering Employees.
Leads planning and tracking of engineering activities including risk assessment, budgetary performance, and program timing.
Identifies opportunities for improvements in engineering practices to obtain increased operational efficiencies.
Reviews and approves engineering records.
Interviews and selects new personnel.
Conducts performance reviews including individual employee development goals and disciplinary actions.
Participates in development and ensures adherence to QMS Policy.
Provides technical and administrative coaching and mentoring for engineering personnel.
Required to work extra hours and some travel may be required to meet Customer needs.
All other reasonable duties and responsibilities assigned as deemed necessary by the Engineering Manager.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Good English Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
Strong Organizational, Interpersonal and Problem Solving Skills.
Good Management & Leadership Traits in dealing with All Levels of Employees
Must be Computer Proficient and Knowledgeable regarding Microsoft Office
A Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering Field is Required
10 years of Automotive Engineering Experience is Required
Must have Metal Stamping and Welded Assembly Expertise
