Assistant Equipment Technician

Salary: $19.00 to $25.00/ per hour

Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and make repairs of all golf course maintenance equipment.
• Knowledge of Gas and Diesel engines repair.
• Knowledge of two cycle motor repair.
• Participate in a preventative maintenance program on all equipment. Changing fluids and servicing equipment.
• Knowledge or understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems with the ability to diagnose and repair issues.
• Ability to learn to grind reels and bed knives.
• Ability to learn how to check cutting heights and quality of cut regularly and make height adjustments on mowers.
• Maintain and update equipment repair logs.
• Must be an initiative-taker with a positive attitude that works well within a team environment.
• Maintain and update equipment repair logs.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Superintendent, Lead Equipment Tech, and staff.

Qualifications:
• Prior experience as a mechanic or golf course mechanic experience preferred.
• Must have own tools.
• Organized and proficient in record keeping.
• Computer skills
• Valid driver’s license and own transportation
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Able to lift 50lbs
• Able to work in a squatting or kneeling position.
