Salary Range-$60,000-70,000 (based on exp)
Lead Culinary Excellence at Broadmead

Broadmead, a premier dynamic lifestyle community, is seeking an Assistant Executive Chef to help lead our culinary operations and support our mission of providing exceptional service to residents and guests. In this key leadership role, you'll partner with our Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations, develop team members, maintain quality standards, and deliver outstanding dining experiences throughout our community.
What You'll Do
As Assistant Executive Chef, you'll play an integral role in the success of our Food Service Department by:
- Assisting in the daily leadership and management of kitchen and production operations
- Supervising and developing cooks, sous chefs, and receiving staff
- Coordinating meal production and special event culinary services
- Ensuring exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency
- Supporting menu development, recipe management, and culinary innovation
- Monitoring inventory, food costs, waste reduction, and budget performance
- Maintaining the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety
- Conducting quality assurance inspections and supporting regulatory compliance
- Serving as the Executive Chef in their absence
- Promoting a culture of teamwork, customer service, and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
Successful candidates will bring:
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience with at least 5 years in a similar culinary leadership role
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of food production, kitchen operations, and inventory management
- Experience leading, coaching, and developing culinary teams
- Understanding of food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and sanitation standards
- Knowledge of OSHA, state, and federal regulations
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of quality and service
- ServSafe and HACCP certification, or willingness to complete training provided by Broadmead
