JOB SUMMARY:

Financial Assistant – Reconciliation – primary focus is on the reconciliation process to include comparing various POS line-item transactions to the bank deposit to ensure UO/UDX is paid correctly for sales made via credit cards, gift cards and hotel charges. Also, assisting the overall Payments Reconciliation as needed & handle special requests from other teams regarding credit cards, gift cards and/or hotel charges.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reconciling by line-item detail the daily transactions in POS vs Bank Settlement for credit cards, gift cards and/or hotel charges, focusing on exception/variance research and correction and reporting and uploading journal entries as needed.
  • Handling email requests from locations across property and/or Loews hotels relating to credit cards, gift cards and/or hotel charges, to include transactional research and charging or refunding Guests.
  • Processing a variety of Guest refunds, specifically UPRV and Guest Services initiated.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • High School Degree or GED is required
  • Associate degree (AA) is preferred

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years of Finance experience and/or Payments experience;
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of UO POS systems is a plus
