ASSISTANT FIRE ALARM TECHNICIAN

Skills and Responsibilities

• Installing cabling systems for low voltage systems
• Inspecting, installing, troubleshooting, and servicing of low voltage systems
• Participation in On-Call rotation
• Completing site surveys
• Travel to various customer work sites throughout the workday/workweek
• Understanding and developing schedules and budgets
• Organizing and tracking project materials, company tools, and equipment
• Continued development of knowledge in access control, CCTV, fire alarm, and other Basesix systems
• Other items as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate

• Work experience with low voltage structured cabling

• Experience with commercial and residential systems

• Troubleshooting skills

• Ability to work on ladders and lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to read and comprehend written communication

• Frequent use of stairs, climbing and descending

• Ability to stand up to 4 hours at a time

• Valid driver's license
