Under the general direction of the Fleet Manager, the Assistant Fleet Manager is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and organizing the maintenance of the department's motor vehicle fleet. This includes managing the budget, transportation activities, inventory control, and disposal systems. This position administers the agency’s fleet maintenance, facilities, and related contracts for preventative maintenance, service, repair, and vehicle disposal, ensuring the safety and reliability of transportation for departmental staff and clients.
Work is reviewed through conferences and submittal reports on a periodic basis.
