Northgate Health Care Facility is looking to add an Assistant Food Service Director to its team. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with the daily operations of the Dietary Department, including meal service, food production, and staff supervision
Support scheduling, training, and mentoring of dietary team members
Help ensure compliance with food safety regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies
Monitor food quality, resident satisfaction, and departmental performance
Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet resident dietary needs and preferences
Support departmental documentation, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives
Perform additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent; Culinary School graduate preferred
Minimum experience requirement: 1 year working in a dietary position; 6 months of supervisory experience preferred
Food Safety Certification required
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Knowledge of food service operations and food safety practices
Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Commitment to providing excellent customer service and resident-centered care
