Assistant Football Coach

Description

The Assistant Football Coach will assist the head coach in all phases of the football program. The position is flexible, with a preference for candidates who have experience in special teams or strength and conditioning (CSCS preferred).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide practice preparation.
  • Abide by NCAA and Liberty League rules and regulations.
  • Serve as a positive role model for all student athletes.
  • Develop and maintain good communication with team members; utilize effective motivational strategies.
  • Develop and implement demanding but fair equitable team policies and training rules.
  • Cultivate good rapport with other campus and athletic services.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of NCAA and Liberty League rules and regulations.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office including Word and Excel, data entry, HUDL).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as being able to supervise others.
  • Able to lift and carry heavy items (up to 25 lbs).
  • Ability to attend morning practices.
  • Able to attend all staff meetings.
  • Review game and practice film with team throughout the season.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Playing and coaching experience, preferably at the college level.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Valid drivers license.

Compensation: $10,000 stipend
