Crestwood School District Athletic Department Announces the following COACHING VACANCY:
Assistant Football Coach - Riverside Middle School
If hired, the coach will perform his/her duties and responsibilities under the direct supervision of the Athletic Director, in compliance with the policies established by the Crestwood Board of Education and the MHSAA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain all requirements as established by the MHSAA
- Follow all Crestwood School District Policies as applied by the Board of Education
- Follow all Crestwood School District Administrative Guidelines
- Maintain a high level of respect, collegiality, and awareness of the needs of all student-athletes and the community
- Maintain a system of in-season and off-season training and growth programs for student-athletes
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and demeanor representative of the Crestwood School District
- Educate, coach, and mentor student-athletes
- Maintain a system of checks and balances on student-athlete attendance, grades, and demeanor in school
- Maintain a system of checks and balances on student-athlete representation of the Crestwood School District outside of school activities
- Support students in the attainment of scholarship opportunities
- Maintain a system of fundraising to support the growth of the programs
- Involve student-athletes in community service to their community
- Develop a competitive program
Qualifications:
- Five or more years of football coaching experience
- Understanding of multiple defensive and offensive philosophies is congruent with today's game
- Positive and supportive demeanor
- A deep understanding of the community of student-athletes we serve at the Crestwood School District
- Clear and concise communication skills
- Understanding of off-season programming
- Understanding of strength and conditioning
- Ability to delegate and take constructive feedback
- Basic knowledge of first aid
- Good character with the ability to serve as a positive role model to student-athletes
- Willingness to work cooperatively in all aspects of the interscholastic athletic program
