This position provides administrative, scheduling, and basic technical support for the Tutoring and Testing Center, which provides the Colleges tutoring and testing services. Responsibilities include assisting with daily office operations, helping students and faculty with routine questions, coordinating appointments, and supporting tutoring and testing activities. The role also contributes to outreach by preparing and posting promotional information and updating content on the Centers website and Blackboard page. The position assists with organizing usage information and maintaining files to support the Centers routine administrative functions.

Provide front desk and administrative support, including answering phones and emails, assisting students with check-in and appointments, monitoring daily Center activity, and maintaining Center records. Respond to routine inquiries from students, faculty, and staff about services and procedures.

Administer placement tests, Pearson VUE, Certiport, CLEP, and other exams. Help ensure materials are handled securely, record results, and monitor inventory. Support accommodated testing in coordination with Accessibility Services ensuring smooth and efficient testing operations.

Coordinate tutoring and testing schedules each term through communication with academic departments, faculty, peer tutors, and student aides. Provide support to the Supervisor with scheduling, training logistics, and the day-to-day coordination of student workers, peer tutors, and proctors.

Support the collection, organization, and tracking of usage and testing information. Assist with preparing reports and updating spreadsheets in collaboration with the Supervisor and other departments. Provide support for the Centers systems and databases, including TutorTrac and AppointmentPlus by assisting with account setup, troubleshooting, and periodic updates following established procedures. Prepare and distribute promotional materials for tutoring and testing services. Update the Centers website, Blackboard page, social media, and other communication platforms. Participate in College events as requested and perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or the Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs.

Qualifications - Education

High school diploma and three years of work experience, preferably in a higher education setting; or an associate degree with one year of experience, preferably in higher education.

Qualifications - Experience

Job Experience: Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel. Good customer service, writing, and communication skills. Organized and detail-oriented. Patient and have a positive attitude for interacting with diverse students, faculty, and staff are necessary. Experience working and managing scheduling and reporting systems and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems Ellucian/Colleague, Peoplesoft, etc. In addition, to being flexible with scheduling and work hours.
