ASSISTANT FRONT OFFICE MANAGER

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an Assistant Front Office Manager for a luxury hotel in Brooklyn, New York. This is a growth-oriented leadership role for a hospitality professional who is equally passionate about their team and their guests, bringing a warm, solution-focused approach to every interaction and a genuine commitment to elevating the overall experience.

 

A great fit also for a first-time Front Office leader or a Housekeeping Manager looking to broaden into a well-rounded Rooms Division professional.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Front Office team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Deliver personalised, elevated guest experiences and handle complex situations with professionalism and empathy
  • Oversee day-to-day front desk operations including arrivals, departures, room status, and revenue optimization
  • Build strong cross-departmental relationships to ensure seamless communication and service delivery throughout the property
  • Monitor occupancy, rate performance, and house counts; take proactive steps to maximise revenue
  • Uphold all cash handling, credit, and guest data confidentiality policies
  • Support onboarding and ongoing training of team members in line with the property's service standards

 

WHAT YOU BRING

  • ⁠5 or more years of hospitality experience within a luxury hotel environment
  • At least 2 or more years in a leadership or supervisory capacity, front office or housekeeping backgrounds both welcomed
  • Strong communication skills with a warm, professional presence on the floor
  • Organized and detail-oriented with solid time management capabilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with property management systems is a plus
  • Comfortable working varied shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight rotations
