Assistant Front Office Manager

Location: Embassy Suites by Hilton La Jolla, San Diego, CA
Compensation: $70,304 annually (Exempt)

Join Our Team

Embassy Suites by Hilton La Jolla is seeking an energetic, guest-focused Assistant Front Office Manager to support the daily operations of our Front Office department. This leadership role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at developing team members, and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.

The Assistant Front Office Manager partners with the Front Office Manager to ensure seamless day-to-day operations, maintain Hilton brand standards, drive guest satisfaction, and support a high-performing front desk team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing daily Front Office operations, including Front Desk, Guest Services, and related guest-facing functions

  • Lead, coach, and motivate team members to deliver exceptional service and memorable guest experiences

  • Support staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management initiatives

  • Resolve guest concerns, service recovery situations, and special requests in a professional and timely manner

  • Monitor guest satisfaction scores and implement action plans to improve service performance

  • Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards, company policies, and operational procedures

  • Coordinate room inventory management and work closely with Housekeeping, Sales, and Maintenance departments

  • Prepare operational reports, maintain accurate records, and analyze performance metrics

  • Oversee ordering and inventory of Front Office supplies and materials

  • Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Front Office Manager

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 2 years of hotel Front Office, Guest Services, or related hospitality experience

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a hotel environment

  • Strong guest service, communication, and conflict-resolution skills

  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Preferred

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Experience with Hilton systems, including PEP, and related hotel management platforms

  • Previous experience in a full-service hotel environment

  • Bilingual skills are a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds occasionally
