Job Description

An established real estate investment firm is hiring an Assistant Fund Controller due to an internal promotion. This is a high impact role supporting fund level reporting, consolidations, investor deliverables, and the audit process for a large and active portfolio. You will partner closely with the Fund Controller and oversee an Accounting Manager, with strong cross functional exposure to acquisitions, asset management, capital markets, treasury, and external audit teams.

Boston, MA location / hybrid work arrangement
Target base $140,000 to $155,000 plus 20 percent bonus

Responsibilities
Own quarterly and annual reporting for assigned funds and related entities
Prepare and review consolidations, eliminations, and fund level financial statements
Review property level financials and quarterly reporting packages
Lead audit execution including PBC support and auditor coordination
Support capital activity including capital calls, distributions, and investor reporting
Calculate and explain performance metrics including IRR, time weighted returns, and equity multiples
Partner on closings and financings, including transaction accounting and wire support

Required Qualifications
Real estate fund level accounting experience required
5 to 7 years of relevant accounting or fund reporting experience
Strong consolidations, joint venture, and ownership structure knowledge
Audit leadership experience and strong GAAP reporting fundamentals

Preferred Qualifications
Yardi or Yardi Investment Manager
Workiva
Exposure to incentive fee audits, NCREIF, or similar performance reporting
