The Assistant General Counsel is responsible for providing legal and other advice in connection with corporate strategic and tactical legal initiatives. The Assistant General Counsel reports to and is supervised by the Corporate General Counsel and provides senior and other management with effective advice on company strategies and their implementation, assists with managing the legal department, and works with and reviews the work of outside counsel and other related experts. The Assistant General Counsel works on governmental investigations and administrative proceedings with a special focus on employment and labor law governmental investigations and administrative proceedings (including without limitation the EEOC, US Department of Labor, the US Department of Justice, the National Labor Relations Board, and other federal and state agencies). The Assistant General Counsel also works on law enforcement matters, intellectual property law matters, employee benefits matters, any matters assigned by the General Counsel, including assisting the General Counsel and/or the Director of Contracts on contractual matters. The Assistant General Counsel also helps in training, policies, handbooks, investigations, and other related matters. Exempt role; Reports to the VP // Corporate General Counsel.
