We are looking for a full-time, experienced Assistant General Manager with supervisory experience to work closely with the General Manager of Formaggio Kitchen at Huron Ave. The AGM will assist with operations, procedures, and supervising and training staff. The AGM may work in all front of house areas, so there is ample opportunity to learn from all departments. Prior food or retail experience is required. The ideal candidate is a self starter and has strong communication and problem solving skills. As an Assistant General Manager at our flagship shop, you not only have access to our incredible assortment of cheeses (many of them exclusive to us in the US), you also have access to hundreds of other specialty products that have been hand selected by our lead buyers from across the globe. With nearly 50 years of experience in the industry, Formaggio Kitchen has developed close relationships with producers domestically and abroad. As a company we encourage staff to take ownership of ideas and initiatives, and we are committed to providing support and resources to allow our staff to achieve their goals. This has included farm visits, buying trips, access to in-depth product training with producers, and development of new programs and marketing initiatives within the store (to name a few). A full-time AGM's work schedule requires flexibility to work all shifts, including weekends and around the holidays.
