ASSISTANT GIRLS SOCCER COACH (MIDDLE SCHOOL)

JOB SUMMARY:

This coaching position is in the athletic department at marcus Whitman Middle School, where parents, the school, and the community are active partners in the education of our students by sharing in planning, resources, and accountability. Students are expected to understand how the concepts and ideas learned in school apply to the world of work and good citizenship. It is a place where people respect themselves and others and take pride in their school and what it represents. Marcus Whitman is a learning community.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Capable of coaching all phases of the sport.
• Assist in administration of contests.
• Need to attend all practices as designated by the head coach.
• Supervise locker room - home and away.
• Available for home and away contests. This may include some Saturday commitments.
• Be available to drive team vans.
• Demand strong team discipline and sportsmanship.
• Follow all coaching duties listed in the Marcus Whitman, Narrows League, and WIAA handbooks.
• Reports to the Marcus Whitman Athletic Director and School Principal.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current certificated employee of the South Kitsap School District.
• Previous participation in the sport.
• Previous coaching experience.
• U.S. Soccer Federation National "C" License or higher

REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid and up-to-date First Aid and CPR certification PRIOR to beginning coaching experience.
• Meet coaching certification standards as set forth by the South Kitsap School District and the WIAA.
• Valid Washington driver''s license and proof of insurance.
• Fingerprints prior to beginning coaching experience at the expense of employee (Washington State Patrol and FBI Background Clearance).

SEASON:

Winter 2026

SALARY:

As per negotiated contract and/or verified soccer coaching experience at other school district(s).
