What an Assistant Janitorial Supervisor will do:
- Train cleaning staff on company standards, products, processes, and procedures
- Oversee staff performance and ensure all assignments are completed according to schedule and company standards
- Organize and assign employee shifts, including adjusting schedules for call-offs or no-shows
- Perform inspections of work and provide constructive performance feedback to team members
- Support staffing needs by filling in on accounts when required
- Respond to customer complaints and service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, including OSHA regulations and proper PPE usage
- Open and secure facilities, including managing security systems as needed
- Maintain team productivity and motivation to ensure tasks are completed to company standards
What you need to be an Assistant Janitorial Supervisor:
- 1 to 2 years of janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping experience preferred
- Experience working in environments such as office buildings, hotels, hospitals, or schools preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning principles and team management practices preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with flexibility
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and punctuality
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
