What an Assistant Janitorial Supervisor will do:

• Train cleaning staff on company standards, products, processes, and procedures
• Oversee staff performance and ensure all assignments are completed according to schedule and company standards
• Organize and assign employee shifts, including adjusting schedules for call-offs or no-shows
• Perform inspections of work and provide constructive performance feedback to team members
• Support staffing needs by filling in on accounts when required
• Respond to customer complaints and service requests in a timely and professional manner
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, including OSHA regulations and proper PPE usage
• Open and secure facilities, including managing security systems as needed
• Maintain team productivity and motivation to ensure tasks are completed to company standards

What you need to be an Assistant Janitorial Supervisor:

• 1 to 2 years of janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping experience preferred
• Experience working in environments such as office buildings, hotels, hospitals, or schools preferred
• Familiarity with cleaning principles and team management practices preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with flexibility
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and punctuality
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
