The position is a 12-month, tenure-track Assistant Librarian: Digital Processing Archivist at IU Northwest Library, reporting to the Executive Director of Library Services.

Responsibilities include

  • leading archival processing and digital stewardship projects
  • developing and maintaining finding aids and workflows
  • overseeing digitization and digital systems for access and preservation
  • managing backlog reduction, legal and rights considerations
  • collaborating with staff and faculty for strategic and digital initiatives
  • supervising students and interns

  • Qualifications include
  • an MLIS from an ALA-accredited program
  • archival and digitization experience
  • strong collaboration and technical skills
  • preferred knowledge of local history and emerging standards.
