Job Description

ARTECHOUSE is looking for an Assistant Location Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized and self-motivated individual with great ability in leading teams and building processes, as well as anextensive experience in overseeing private events and managing live events. A background in hospitality and management within a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment is essential.

WHO YOU ARE

You are a dependable professional with a strong foundation in leadership and customer service. Your experience includes managing teams and a solid understanding of event coordination and venue management. You possess a flexible schedule to work evenings, weekends, and non-traditional hours to support private events and live programming and are eager to inspire and motivate your team.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enhance Visitor Experience: Prioritize positive guest interactions by implementing best practices and emphasizing the significance of exceptional customer service.
  • Visitor Interaction: Engage with guests, addressing complaints, feedback, and inquiries effectively.
  • Operational Support: Assist with daily operations, ensuring seamless visitor experiences, location sales, building maintenance, housekeeping, and exhibition and technical operations as necessary.
  • Private Events & Live Programming: Coordinate and oversee private event logistics and live programming execution, including scheduling, vendor/client coordination, and staffing coverage outside standard visitor hours.
  • Team Management: Oversee daily staffing for optimal sales, flow, and visitor engagement, managing a team of 20-25, including event staff and hospitality personnel.
  • Safety Oversight: Act as the safety officer to ensure a compliant and safe workplace according to OSHA, ADA, and fire codes.
  • Facilities Management: Plan and execute facility projects, manage vendor and contractor relationships, managing all maintenance and repairs, and coordinating with location and building managers.
  • Operational Procedures: Execute all opening and closing procedures diligently.
  • Leadership: Model behavior that embodies ARTECHOUSE’s core values, translating our overarching vision into actionable strategies for your team.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS + SKILLS

  • Leadership Ability: Proven experience managing competing tasks, priorities, and deadlines while completing projects on time and within budget.
  • Team Leadership: Experience overseeing teams of up to 25 individuals.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
  • Detail-Oriented: Highly organized and proactive in approach.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Event Facilitation: Experience in daily operations and special event management.
  • Hospitality & Bar: Experience in hospitality operations, including bar or F&B service management, preferred.
  • Facilities & Vendor Management: Experience managing vendor and contractor relationships for facility maintenance and repairs.
  • Tech Savvy: Capacity to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
  • Team-Oriented Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead by example and foster a collaborative team atmosphere.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, talk, and hear throughout shifts. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, with the capacity to lift up to 50 pounds when required.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work evenings, weekends, and non-traditional hours as needed to support private events and live programming.

COMPENSATION

  • Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 annually
