We are seeking an experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager to join our growing aerospace manufacturing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional who wants to continue developing their leadership skills and progress into a Maintenance Manager role.The ideal candidate will have strong CNC maintenance experience, proven leadership abilities, and a passion for continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence.
What You'll Do
- Support the Maintenance Manager in overseeing daily maintenance operations
- Help ensure all plant equipment and manufacturing processes operate efficiently and safely
- Assist with planning and coordinating equipment installations and facility improvements
- Lead maintenance activities involving CNC machines and advanced manufacturing equipment
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs and scheduling
- Track work orders, maintenance inventory, and equipment documentation
- Conduct facility and equipment inspections
- Support troubleshooting and repair efforts to minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Leadership teams
- Assume maintenance leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Maintenance Manager
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- 7+ years of manufacturing experience
- Minimum 5 years of CNC machining and maintenance experience
- At least 2 years in a leadership role supervising 10+ employees
- Experience supporting production throughput, equipment reliability, and quality goals
- Strong understanding of industrial maintenance systems and manufacturing operations
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs and maintenance planning
- Ability to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus
- Associate Degree, technical certification, or trade school training preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
