We are seeking an experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager to join our growing aerospace manufacturing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional who wants to continue developing their leadership skills and progress into a Maintenance Manager role.The ideal candidate will have strong CNC maintenance experience, proven leadership abilities, and a passion for continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

• Support the Maintenance Manager in overseeing daily maintenance operations
• Help ensure all plant equipment and manufacturing processes operate efficiently and safely
• Assist with planning and coordinating equipment installations and facility improvements
• Lead maintenance activities involving CNC machines and advanced manufacturing equipment
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs and scheduling
• Track work orders, maintenance inventory, and equipment documentation
• Conduct facility and equipment inspections
• Support troubleshooting and repair efforts to minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Leadership teams
• Assume maintenance leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Maintenance Manager
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• 7+ years of manufacturing experience
• Minimum 5 years of CNC machining and maintenance experience
• At least 2 years in a leadership role supervising 10+ employees
• Experience supporting production throughput, equipment reliability, and quality goals
• Strong understanding of industrial maintenance systems and manufacturing operations
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs and maintenance planning
• Ability to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus
• Associate Degree, technical certification, or trade school training preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
