Job SummaryA cannabis retail assistant manager supports the general manager in daily dispensary operations. They supervise staff, manage inventory and cash handling, drive sales, and enforce strict state compliance.Core ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership

• Coach, train, and onboard hourly dispensary staff.

• Build weekly labor schedules and track performance goals.

• Resolve employee conflicts and support human resources tasks. 

Operations and Compliance

• Open and close the store, including register counts and cash reconciliation.

• Ensure strict adherence to local and state cannabis laws.

• Assist with state compliance audits and inspections.

Inventory and Sales

• Monitor seed-to-sale tracking systems (Metrc) and point-of-sale (POS) software.

• Conduct weekly stock counts, receive deliveries, and handle audits.

• Handle escalated customer service issues and promote customer loyalty.

Qualifications

• Age: Must be at least 21 years old.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience: 2 to 3 years in retail, hospitality, or customer service leadership (cannabis experience preferred).

• Skills: Strong communication, math/cash handling, and familiarity with POS/inventory technology.

• Requirements: CO MED Card and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
