Assistant Manager – Jersey Mike’s Subs

The Assistant Manager works alongside the General Manager to lead daily operations, develop the team, and ensure the restaurant delivers excellent quality, cleanliness, speed, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and support a team of approximately 15 employees.
• Oversee daily operations, including opening/closing, cash handling, and shift leadership.
• Train, coach, and develop team members.
• Create schedules, manage labor, and place inventory orders.
• Ensure food quality, safety, cleanliness, and service standards are consistently met.
• Handle customer concerns professionally.
• Ensure company policies, procedures, and systems are followed with integrity.
• Step in to run the restaurant in the General Manager’s absence.
• Prepare food to Jersey Mike’s standards, including slicing and baking bread.
• Lead by example and help create a positive, team-focused work environment.

Requirements

• 18 years or older.
• Positive, energetic, dependable, and hardworking.
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions independently.
• Approximately 40 hours per week.
• 1+ year of restaurant or QSR experience preferred.
• Food Handler/ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexible availability, including nights and weekends.
