The USGA's Championship Administration Team is a collaborative group of eight that oversees the in-house administration and planning details that support the successful execution of 15 National Championships. We are the beginning of the player journey - managing the Championship entry platform and a high volume of player inquiries through our commitment to excellent customer service. The team operates across four key pillars, each held to a high standard of execution: customer service, exemptions and exemption events, Championship equipment, and IT. A primary function within Championship Administration is working collaboratively with 55 Allied Golf Associations to conduct approximately 650 USGA Qualifiers each year. We work in close partnership with our Championships Department to support the Championship experience for all. We are looking for a teammate with an interest or background in golf administration and a strong attention to detail to join our team. About this role:The USGA's Championship Administration team is responsible for the in-house preparation and administration of USGA championships, including entries, exemptions, qualifying and equipment. The Assistant Manager, Championship Administration will manage the in-house administration of the U.S. Junior Amateur and U.S. Senior Amateur Championships, which includes entries, exemptions, and qualifying. This role will oversee the Championship and AGA qualifying equipment in partnership with Amateur Operations. This role will also oversee the USGA Performance Policy and No-Show/No-Card Policy at USGA Qualifying. In addition, this role will provide support for fulfilling the overall customer service objectives of the department.What you'll do:

Annual Qualifying Site and Exemption ReviewApplication and Exemption PreparationEntry Opening and ClosingCorrespondence to Players, Officials and Allied Golf AssociationsAllocation of Places and Alternate ProcessChampionship Pairings
Oversight of Championship and Qualifying Equipment:
Responsible for ordering of qualifying and championship specific items throughout the season, including all Championship inside-the-ropes items and USGA qualifying items such as coolers, tee markers, hole flags, medals, and plaquesChampionship Administration team lead for ordering of named equipment items for all Championships: bag tags, player badges, locker room plates, caddie bib strips, range names, and standard stripsHandle equipment requests from USGA staff, players, and AGAsOngoing maintenance/inventory of USGA equipment roomAssist with ordering and routing of Championship Equipment and AGA Qualifying EquipmentManage the Pride Mobility Scooter Program and the Play Away Push Cart Rental ProgramCollaborate closely with Amateur Operations to ensure departmental excellence in this area
Assist in the fulfilment of the customer service objectives of the department by responding to proportionate amount of phone calls and email inquiries from players/parents/agents, Allied Golf Association staff and general public as it pertains to the championship entry process, transfers and withdrawals.Oversee the Performance Policy and No-Show/No-Card Policy at USGA qualifying and serve as the primary point of contact for notification, requested submissions and appeals.Other duties as assigned, including serving in an on-site capacity at an additional Championship or supporting the Championship Administration team with special projects as needed.
Where you'll be:This role will be based at our Liberty Corner, NJ campus on a hybrid schedule. Employees are required to spend 3 days per week working in the office, between Monday - Thursday. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are mandatory in-office community days. Employees can choose between Monday or Thursday as their third in-office day.What you bring:

Level: Assistant ManagerJob Location: Liberty Corner, NJSalary Range: $55,000 - $63,000The annual base salary range for this position is $55,000 - $63,000. This range represents what we reasonably expect to pay as starting base compensation for this role. Compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including skill set, depth of experience, and relevant certifications.
