Assistant Manager

Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager will oversee related functions and activities of the OTB and provide assistance as needed to the Site Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Understands, in depth, what the wagers are and accurately explains to customers how to wager and what the bets mean.

· Accurately and expeditiously inputs players club card information and W2g’s.

· Assists Manager with new employee training (OTB and HHR terminals).

· Accurately and consistently counts change.

· Balances safe and takes responsibility for evening safe.

· Steps in as back up for Manager in Manager’s absence.

· Works or is on-call each weekend as scheduled.

· Assists with site maintenance list and completes calendar for weekly service on terminals.

· Maintains office and bathroom supplies for daily use, tracks inventory and alerts Manager when and what items need restocking.

· Maintains and verifies Pepsi orders weekly and keeps coolers stocked.

· Purchases necessary supplies when needed in Manager’s absence.

· Removes any patron causing disruption or engaging in abusive behavior towards other customers and/or staff and completes accurate documentation of incident. Contacts local law enforcement for assistance when necessary.

· Uses sound judgment to determine when situations arise that require assistance from the Manager or Security Officer.

· Keeps Manager and/or other Assistant Manager apprised of any problems or concerns daily.

· Determines when to send personnel home during slow business periods.

· Adjusts schedule to meet needs of the site, leaving early when appropriate.

· Cleans site as necessary.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

· Proficient understanding and use of basic mathematical skills.

· High degree of attention to detail and accuracy.

Education and Experience:

· Knowledge of mechanical operations.

· Two years of related experience in the gaming industry preferred.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods standing and/or walking.

· Regular bending and stooping.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
