The Assistant Manager supports assigned programs and office operations in partnership with leadership while helping ensure quality service delivery, team member development, fiscal oversight, and program effectiveness. This position serves as an active member of the leadership team by assisting with supervision, staffing, performance management, referral coordination, community engagement, client services, and operational support. The Assistant Manager also helps maintain compliance, monitors program outcomes, and provides direct client services as needed to support program success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support employment service programs that help individuals achieve meaningful employment and greater independence.
- Collaborate with team members, clients, families, referral sources, and community partners to ensure quality service delivery and positive outcomes.
- Coordinate referrals, caseload assignments, and service coverage to ensure timely and effective support for clients.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with funding sources, employers, referral partners, and community organizations to support program growth.
- Coach, mentor, and support team members through performance management, field observations, training, and professional development activities.
- Monitor program outcomes, productivity measures, and service quality to ensure services meet established goals and best-practice standards.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and maintaining personnel records.
- Support budgeting activities by monitoring revenue, expenses, payroll processes, invoicing, and funding opportunities.
- Participate in strategic planning, networking, marketing, and community outreach initiatives that promote organizational services.
- Provide direct client services and maintain a caseload as needed to support operational and client needs.
- Review documentation, client records, and billing information to ensure accuracy, quality, confidentiality, and compliance.
- Facilitate quality management activities, client satisfaction efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, HIPAA requirements, safety standards, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Perform additional leadership and operational responsibilities as assigned.
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as Human Resources, Social Services, or a similar discipline preferred.
- One or more years of leadership experience providing employment services, personnel management, social services, or related experience preferred.
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities and/or barriers to employment preferred.
- Knowledge of employment services, program management, team supervision, and community-based service delivery preferred.
Additional Qualifications:
- Successful completion of background screening, including criminal history, driving record, abuse/neglect screening, and fingerprint check.
- Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance required.
- Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with clients, families, referral sources, community partners, and team members.
- Ability to collect, interpret, and maintain accurate data and documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in professional situations.
- Strong problem-solving, training, and coaching abilities.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Physical Requirements
- Perform sedentary work involving exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently.
- Sit for extended periods of time throughout the workday.
- Occasionally walk or stand for brief periods as job duties require.
- Perform repetitive hand, finger, and arm movements associated with typing, writing, and computer use.
- Lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move light objects as needed.
