The Opportunity
As an Assistant Manager, you will be a key leader in the shop, helping run day-to-day operations while coaching and developing your team. You will set the tone for guest service, keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, and step up when the Shop Manager is out.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you can grow your management skills, make an impact on your team and your guests, and build a real path toward becoming a Shop Manager.
What You'll Do
- Lead, coach, and support scoopers and shift leads to deliver consistently excellent service.
- Oversee daily operations, including cash handling, inventory, scheduling, and opening/closing the shop.
- Set and model high standards for guest experience, resolving issues with professionalism and care.
- Develop team members through on-the-job training, feedback, and recognition so everyone grows and wins together.
- Support community events and shop goals, contributing to a positive reputation in the neighborhood.
What Success Looks Like
- Within your first few months, you can confidently run shifts, open and close the shop, and handle cash and inventory with accuracy.
- Your team looks to you for guidance and feedback, and you help create a positive, motivated, and accountable work environment.
- Guest feedback reflects friendly, fast, and consistent service, even during busy times.
- You actively contribute to shop goals, including sales, labor, and waste reduction, while helping prepare yourself for the next step toward Shop Manager.
What We're Looking For
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience; food or retail experience is a strong plus.
- Clear, positive communication skills and the ability to solve problems in real time.
- Reliability, a strong sense of ownership, and a focus on accountability and follow-through.
- A genuine drive to grow, develop others, and foster a supportive, fun team culture.
Compensation and Benefits
- $20–$24 per hour (including tips).
