The Assistant Manager, Restaurant is instrumental in driving the daily operations of the assigned restaurant or bar, ensuring a seamless guest experience and consistently high service standards. Reporting to the Manager, they oversee team performance, enforce company policies, and execute a range of operational objectives aimed at achieving guest satisfaction, revenue growth, and cultivating a motivated, cohesive team environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Optimize staff scheduling and shift rotations, ensuring coverage aligns with peak periods and anticipated guest volume to maximize service efficiency.
Actively coach, mentor, and support team members, providing ongoing feedback to foster professional development and uphold exemplary performance standards.
Enforce rigorous health, safety, and cleanliness protocols throughout all front and back-of-house areas, conducting regular audits and addressing any deficiencies promptly.
Respond to guest feedback and resolve issues swiftly, employing a solution-oriented approach to maintain the highest levels of satisfaction and positive reviews.
Oversee inventory management, including monitoring supply levels, placing timely orders, and partnering with procurement to prevent stockouts and minimize waste.
Organize and facilitate frequent staff training sessions focused on service excellence, menu knowledge, and compliance; ensure clear and consistent communication through regular meetings and briefings.
Foster a positive workplace culture by motivating staff, recognizing achievements, and addressing concerns to support morale and retention.
Collaborate with the culinary team and other departments to streamline operations, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and support cross-functional initiatives.
Monitor daily sales, track key performance indicators, and implement strategies to drive revenue, reduce costs, and enhance profitability.
Develop and execute promotional activities and special events designed to attract new guests and reward loyal patrons, ensuring smooth execution and measurable results.
Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory and licensing requirements, maintaining accurate documentation and facilitating inspections as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
Minimum 2 year of F&B service experience in 5 star international hotel / resorts
Supervisory / Management experience in a five star restaurant environment
Education
Minimum certificate in Hospitality or Business Management
Skills / Competencies
Proficient in Microsoft Applications
Advantageous Skills
Casino hotel experience is an advantage
