Summary
The Assistant Manager provides support for the store manager and is responsible for store operations, sales volume, and profitability. In addition, the assistant manager provides leadership and supervision of store personnel.
Responsibilities
Model and Drive Superior Service.
Delegate tasks and responsibilities. Follow-up on results. Provide direction and guidance.
Communicate professionally and respectfully with associates, customers, and corporate officials in person, by phone, or electronic communication.
Uphold company policies and procedures.
Recruit, hire, and train new employees.
Evaluate current employees' performance; coach, provide feedback, development, and corrective action when needed.
Merchandise the sales floor; maintain standards for presentation, signage, and product lifecycle.
Utilize company tools and reports to deliver results.
Partner with Loss Prevention to reduce loss.
Motivate associates and maintain a positive work environment.
Collaborate with leadership to deliver results in all areas of the store.
Assist team members in other areas as directed by supervisor or management.
Qualifications
Must have 2+ years of managing retail apparel, shoes, and home décor.
