Title: Assistant Manager, Scheduling Operations

Compensation? $32-$36

Manalapan, NJ

About Us

The Heartland Roadshow, established in 2009, is a premier buyer of estate jewelry, precious metals, gold and silver coins, and collectibles. If you’ve ever seen “Antiques Roadshow”, this is similar to what we do. We set up boutique “buying events” at various hotel locations throughout the region, where folks come to sell us their estate items - primarily gold, silver, coins, and watches.

Position Summary:
The Assistant Manager, Scheduling Operations supports the daily operations of the Booking Coordination team by helping oversee venue sourcing, booking workflows, schedule alignment, and cross-functional communication. This role works closely with the Logistics Manager to ensure the weekly show schedule is supported by viable locations and operationally aligned across Licensing, Marketing, Operations, and field teams.

The Assistant Manager serves as a leadership resource for Booking Coordinators by providing guidance, oversight, and escalation support while helping maintain accuracy, efficiency, and continuity throughout the booking process. This role also plays a key part in identifying scheduling risks, supporting market strategy execution, and ensuring venue booking timelines remain on track.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support the Booking Coordinator team (delegation, accountability, general oversight)

  • Own the accuracy and organization of the show schedule across our systems

  • Review schedules to catch issues like overlapping markets, radius conflicts, and repeat timing problems

  • Make sure all locations align with approved markets, and overall strategy

  • Work closely with Logistics, Licensing, and Leadership to execute scheduling direction and pivots

  • Identify problem areas early (oversaturated markets, gaps, risk areas) and help come up with solutions

  • Keep leadership in the loop on any issues, changes, or risks within the schedule

  • Help improve and tighten up processes as we continue to grow

Qualifications:

  • Experience in scheduling, logistics, operations, or something similar

  • Proven leadership in people management, including coaching, performance management, and team development

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a fast moving environment

  • Comfortable juggling multiple priorities at once

  • Good communication skills and ability to work across teams

  • Google Sheets / Salesforce experience preferred

What Success Looks Like:

  • A clean, accurate schedule that doesn’t have constant issues or conflicts

  • Problems are caught early, not after the fact

  • The Booking Coordinator team is aligned and running efficiently

  • Clear communication across teams so everyone knows what’s going on

The Heartland Roadshow is committed to a fair, respectful, and inclusive hiring process, evaluating candidates based on their experience and alignment with the role.
