Assistant Manager/Shift Lead

The Peach Cobbler Factory Assistant Manager/Shift Lead reports to the Director of Operations and supports the Manager of Operations in overseeing daily operations, leading staff, and ensuring high-quality product standards. Key responsibilities include managing inventory, scheduling, providing customer service, and enforcing health and safety protocols. The role requires previous food service experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

Key Responsibilities

• Operations Management: Oversee daily activities, including opening/closing procedures, and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Co-Supervise summer interns and staff from CareerSource.
• Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and supervise crew members, while handling scheduling and performance feedback.
• Customer Service: Address customer inquiries and resolve conflicts to ensure a positive experience.
• Inventory & Quality Control: Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering, and maintain high standards for dessert preparation.
• Financial Duties: Balance cash drawers, handle transactions, and prepare deposits. 
• Scheduling: Assists in and executes weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• Must possess situational awareness to address issues and challenges before they become a problem and to ensure all aspects internally and externally are being solved.
• Experience: Proven experience as an Assistant or in a similar leadership role, preferably in the food and beverage industry, education, hospitality, youth development.
• Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Age Requirement: 18 and over.
• Must be comfortable working until 12:30AM Sunday through Thursday and until 1:30AM Friday and Saturday.  
• Must be comfortable working at 9:00AM with deliberate scheduling to not have a close followed by an open.
• Certification: First Aid CPR and able to complete safe serve training and or food handlers permit for the state of Florida. 

Scheduling, Compensation & Benefits

• Hours: 30-35 Hours a week
• Holidays: Ability to work holidays
• Weekends: Ability to work weekends.
• Pay: 15.50-19.50 (including tips)
