Assistant Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Coach

Gustavus Adolphus College, an NCAA Division III institution, and a member of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) is seeking applications for a Men's and Women's Assistant Swimming and Diving Coach. Employment Status: Full-Time (.83 FTE), Exempt (Salaried), Benefits EligibleSalary Range: $36,000-$40,000 annually The successful candidate must possess a proven ability to coach swimmers, as well as recruit the best possible student-athletes. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: assist in coaching, recruiting, scouting, practice preparation among other administrative roles within the program. Gustavus, a strong liberal arts college, competes in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference as an NCAA Division III member. This person will report directly as an assistant to the Head Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving Coach. Coaching Duties:

Plan and implement event specific training appropriate to each athlete. Support and promote the team expectations and vision of the team. Demonstrate leadership, sportsmanship and professionalism. Effectively communicate and work cooperatively with our coaching staff and athletic department. Assist with individual and group student visit events and visit days. Be a liaison between Admissions and coaching staff for recruiting prospective student-athletes. Knowledge of, and be compliant with, all Division III, MIAC, and Gustavus Adolphus College policies and regulations as well as eligibility requirements. Monitor and evaluate academic performance of student-athletes. Additional administrative and other duties as assigned.
