Gustavus Adolphus College, an NCAA Division III institution, and a member of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) invites applications for an Assistant Men's and Women's Track & Field Coach. This position will contribute to many phases of a competitive NCAA Division III track and field program. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to fostering a positive student-athlete experience and support the College's mission of preparing students for lives of leadership, service, and lifelong learning. Employment Status: Part-Time (.13 FTE; Fall & Spring Season Support), Exempt (Salaried), Non-Benefits Eligible Pay Range: $5,000-10,000 annually Anticipated Start Date: September 1, 2026 MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and implement event specific training and competition planning appropriate to each athlete and event group Contribute to the technical and tactical development of student-athletes, emphasizing skill progression, teamwork, and character Foster a positive team environment that aligns with the values and vision of the Gustavus Track & Field program Assist with recruiting efforts, including evaluating prospective student-athletes, attending events, and participating in on-campus visits, as needed Demonstrate leadership, sportsmanship and professionalism Effectively communicate and work cooperatively with our coaching staff and athletic department Maintain compliance with NCAA Division III, MIAC, and Gustavus policies and procedures Assist Head Coach with all other duties as assigned
