Position Summary

Basic FunctionAssistant to Head Coach in all aspects of an Old Dominion Athletic Conference Division III sports program

Duties and ResponsibilitiesSpecific Responsibilities:

• Assist the head coach in day to day operations of the team and program
• Assist in practice planning
• Assist in positional instruction as defined by the head coach
• Evaluate post practice and game situations
• Assist in recruiting
• Coordinate team travel with head coach supervision
• Other related duties as assigned
• A majority of coaching duties will be teaching their respective sport to students. This coaching is expected to be in person.

Minimum QualificationsCoaching experience of at least 3 years required.Bachelor's degree required.

Preferred Qualifications• Skills and Qualifications:• Collegiate playing or previous collegiate or high school coaching experience of at least five years• required. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and the desire to work in a• Division III environment.• Master's degree preferred.
