Carries out aspects of the mens volleyball program necessary to accomplish the objectives of the sport within the university, the athletic department, the WHAC and NAIA rules and regulations
Models commitment to Christian character and the Community Covenant standards in behavior and interactions with athletes and coaches and officials
Helps to support spiritual growth opportunities in partnership with head coach
Supports academic growth and success of student athletes in program
Helps head coach recruit and retains highly skilled Christian student-athletes for volleyball team
Scouts high school matches and tournaments
Corresponds with recruits (e-mail, letters, texts, phone calls)
Manages social media platforms
Game Day management responsibilities as assigned by the Head Coach
Orients and enforces student-athlete adherence to the policies and regulations of the university and athletic department
Provides guidance and assistance to student-athletes on a range of personal issues
Prepares practice schedules in coordination with head coach
Leads, monitors and coordinate training and practice sessions, ensuring that all safety guidelines and standards are maintained
Helps plan and administer off-season training programs
Provides special training for individual team members as required

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Bachelors Degree
Successful experience in coaching volleyball
Success in a high school or collegiate program as player
Good organizational and communication skills
Ability to recruit Christian student-athletes with potential for academic and athletic success
