Overview:
The Assistant Nurse Manager serves as an adjunct to the Nurse Manager or Nursing Director by providing supervision and clinical expertise to staff in his/her assigned area. Assists the Nurse Manager in hiring and firing of nursing personnel, conducting periodic employee evaluations, orientation of new employees, and performance improvement activities. Assists the Nurse Manager in devising and managing the departmental budget(s). Facilitates positive customer service and patient-centered care on the nursing unit.
Qualifications:
Required Education: ASN from an accredited University/College. BSN Preferred
Required Experience: 3-5 years Acute Care Required. Preferred Charge RN / Leadership experience
Required Certifications: RN License /Able to practice in the State of Florida ; BLS from AHA or Red Cross
