Assistant Nurse Manager (RN) - Community Health

A nonprofit services organization in New York City is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team in Brooklyn as their new Assistant Nurse Manager - Community Health. This role combines hands-on patient care with nursing leadership in a fast-paced clinic serving a diverse adult population.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Day
• Schedule: Monday to Friday (with Saturdays and rotational evenings)
• Hours: 9am to 5pm (9am to 2pm on Saturdays)
• Setting: Outpatient Community Health

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily nursing operations, clinic flow, and patient care coordination
• Provide direct patient care, including vitals, assessments, medication administration, and triage support
• Supervise and support nursing and medical assistant staff through training, feedback, and performance evaluation
• Ensure compliance with clinical, safety, infection control, and confidentiality standards
• Coordinate patient education, follow-up care, referrals, and continuity of care
• Document patient care and medication activity accurately in the electronic medical record

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification
• Experience in a Community Health setting
• Experience providing direct patient care, including Triage, Medication Administration, and Clinical Support

Desired Skills:

• Bilingual (English and Spanish)
• Experience in an FQHC or similar Community Health environment
• Solid understanding of the needs of patients receiving care for HIV/AIDS and Substance Use concerns
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic med
