Job Opportunity: Anesthesiologist (Assistant/Associate Level)

Our organization is looking for a dedicated Anesthesiologist at the Assistant or Associate level to become part of our Division of General Anesthesia. The selected faculty member will engage in delivering clinical care while also contributing to the education of residents and fellows. There are opportunities available for involvement in clinical and translational research, as well as research focused on outcomes. If you possess formal post-residency subspecialty training, we will consider assigning you to that area, depending on feasibility and your preferences.

OB Anesthesia Division

In our OB Anesthesia Division, faculty members provide comprehensive obstetrical anesthesia services, catering to a diverse range of high-risk obstetric patients, alongside ample exposure to standard pregnancies. Faculty will play a crucial role in clinical care and the education of residents and fellows. Additionally, there are opportunities for clinical and translational research, as well as research related to outcomes.

Division of Pain Medicine

The Division of Pain Medicine at our institution is in search of a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pain Physician to join our faculty at the Assistant or Associate Professor level within the Department of Anesthesiology. Established in May 2013, the Center for the Assessment and Management of Pain currently operates from two locations: the YNHH Spine Center and the newly added Cancer Pain service at the Smilow Cancer Hospital. Our recent pilot program for pre-operative pain consultations for spine patients with high opioid usage has been successfully adopted by the hospital, with plans to extend this initiative to additional specialties.

Qualifications
  • Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible.
  • Eligibility for a Connecticut medical license is required.
  • Fellowship training is necessary for those in subspecialty areas.
