Job Summary
The Department of Family Medicine at East Tennessee State University (ETSU), Quillen College of Medicine, is seeking a dedicated and board-certified MD or DO to join our vibrant team as an Assistant/Associate Professor. This position is integral to our residency program, with clinical responsibilities across our clinics located in Bristol, Kingsport, and Johnson City, TN.
In this role, you will engage in team-based care, dedicating 80% of your time (0.8 FTE) to direct patient care and resident precepting within the ETSU Health Family Physicians network. The remaining 20% (0.2 FTE) will focus on administrative responsibilities, teaching, and scholarly activities, all essential to your role as a core faculty member.
Our ACGME-accredited clinical centers emphasize an integrated, interprofessional approach to healthcare, addressing the needs of a diverse patient population unique to the Appalachian region. As a primary physician, you will provide patient-centered care, contribute to clinical initiatives aimed at enhancing quality standards and patient outcomes, and serve as a mentor and role model for residents and medical students.
You will also participate in scholarly activities and curriculum development, alongside fulfilling required administrative duties to maintain accreditation standards. Academic rank will be awarded based on your prior academic experience.
