Description

The Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at Emory University seeks a full-time Otolaryngologist to join the faculty at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The primary clinical site for this position will be Grady Memorial Hospital, a high-volume tertiary referral center and a major teaching hospital affiliated with Emory University. The successful candidate will join a collaborative and academically active faculty engaged in clinical care, education, and research at both national and international levels. The role includes opportunities to teach medical students, residents, and fellows, to participate in scholarly activities, and to contribute to the department's academic mission. Clinical expertise in Head and Neck Oncology, Otology/Neurotology and/or Laryngology is particularly valued, although fellowship training is not required. Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Otolaryngology and will hold a faculty appointment within the Emory University School of Medicine. This position includes a 12-month appointment with a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. Academic rank will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and scholarly accomplishments. Minimum Qualifications • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery • Fellowship training preferred (Laryngology, Otology/Neurotology, or Microvascular/Head & Neck Surgery) • Eligible for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Georgia • DEA controlled substance registration • Ability to obtain professional liability (malpractice) coverage • Legal authorization to work in the United States Primary Responsibilities • Provide comprehensive otolaryngology clinical care at Grady Memorial Hospital as a member of the Grady physician staff • Participate in night and weekend call coverage • Contribute to the education and supervision of medical students, residents, fellows, and other rotating trainees • Participate in departmental conferences, case discussions, and quality improvement activities • Manage patient evaluations, procedures, and operative care in accordance with departmental and hospital guidelines • Contribute to scholarly activity and the academic mission of the Division and Department • Participate in departmental committees and adopt clinical tools, protocols, and technologies utilized by the Division Faculty rank and academic responsibilities will be commensurate with training, experience, and professional achievements.
