Duties Description To be discussed at time of interview. This position's specific area of specialization is mental health services.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and four years of professional experience in a criminal justice agency or social service agency, providing direct services to justice-involved individuals by making assessments of the individuals needs and referring them to multiple treatment programs and/or services in such areas as housing, employment, mental health, or substance abuse that are designed to rehabilitate persons with criminal histories.
Substitution: master's degree may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
Preferred qualifications: knowledge of available services, programs, benefits, entitlements; and ability to negotiate and advocate on an individuals behalf.
Additional Comments Duties, roles, responsibilities, travel, and work hours to be discussed at time of interview. Location is dependent on Departmental needs and candidate responses. The position will be located within the Central NY Region which oversees Re-entry services in Elmira/Binghamton, Northern Frontier/Watertown/Syracuse and Utica.
