  • Support quarterly reporting requirements and tax-related financial schedules.

Cost Accounting & Inventory Management

  • Maintain and update standard costs, partnering with Operations and Engineering to ensure accurate labor and material rates.
  • Monitor inventory valuation, reserves, write-offs, and slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs, spending trends, and operational performance metrics.
  • Support physical inventory counts and fixed asset verification processes.

Capital Projects & Fixed Assets

  • Coordinate capital expenditure requests and approvals.
  • Track capital spending against approved budgets.
  • Process asset capitalizations and maintain fixed asset records.
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting related to capital investments and operational improvement initiatives.

Controls, Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Support compliance with US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and company policies.
  • Assist with internal and external audit activities.
  • Maintain and update internal control documentation.
  • Partner with plant leadership to identify and implement process improvements that enhance financial performance and operational efficiency.

Business Partnership & Analysis

  • Collaborate with department leaders to monitor spending, explain financial results, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Provide financial support for productivity initiatives, cost reduction programs, and strategic projects.
  • Deliver ad hoc financial analysis and decision support to plant leadership and the Plant Controller.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • 2+ years of accounting, finance, cost accounting, or manufacturing finance experience.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and internal controls.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

  • Manufacturing, plant accounting, or cost accounting experience.
