What we need:

The Assistant Plant Controller supports the Plant Controller and plant leadership by executing financial analysis, cost accounting activities, and reporting processes that ensure accurate financial results and visibility into plant performance. The role focuses on preparing analyses, monitoring variances, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and maintaining strong financial controls while partnering with operations to improve understanding of cost and performance drivers.

What you'll do:

• Support plant budgeting, forecasting, costing, and financial planning activities by preparing analyses and assisting leadership with financial insight.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial results, including variance analysis and performance metrics.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support product costing and inventory valuation activities, including review of manufacturing data impacting cost accuracy.
• Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, investigating and explaining key variances.
• Partner with plant management to gather operational and financial information related to production, inventory, efficiencies, and payroll.
• Provide timely and accurate financial reporting to plant leadership and controller.
• Support the integrity and accuracy of the plant's financial statements through reconciliations, analysis, and adherence to internal controls.
• Perform month-end close activities including journal entries, account reviews, and reconciliations.
• Support compliance with internal controls, company policies, and audit requirements, assisting with documentation and testing as needed.
• Assist with audits, capital project analysis, and other plant financial initiatives.
• Support special projects and reporting requirements as assigned.

What you have:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
• 2-4 years' relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.

• Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards.
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
