Assistant Plant Manager to help lead the charge at our Meredosia, IL facility. You won’t just be supervising—you’ll be the Plant Manager’s right hand, driving daily efficiency, keeping safety locked down, and keeping our production engine humming while working hand and hand with the production staff. Responsibilities
- Assist the Plant Manager in overseeing daily operations and production schedules.
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met.
- Coordinate with various departments to streamline operations and resolve any issues.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Train and mentor staff to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Assist in inventory management and ensure adequate supplies are available for production.
- Prepare reports on production metrics and suggest improvements as needed.
- Participate in planning and executing maintenance schedules for equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with production management software.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet production demands.
