Arcadia Playschool is looking for a warm, enthusiastic Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our dedicated early childhood education team in Arcadia, CA! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting impact on young learners during their most formative years in a nurturing and playful environment.
Responsibilities:
Support lead teachers in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities for preschool-aged children
Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, and transitions
Assist with the development and implementation of early childhood curriculum
Communicate openly and positively with parents and guardians regarding child progress
Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom space
Observe and document child behavior and developmental milestones
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; ECE units or Child Development coursework preferred
Prior experience working with preschool or early childhood age groups
Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices
Patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic demeanor with young children
Ability to pass a background check and meet state licensing requirements
Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain
Strong communication and teamwork skills
